These boots are made in China and the uppers are not real leather but that is what makes them affordable. I bought a size nine for my wife and they were right on - Great fit! I have two pairs of men's Laredo's and they also fit great and are very comfortable. I got the Brown for my wife and they were a little lighter then the picture or what I had wanted. I wish Laredo made boots with real leather uppers. I would be willing to pay a bit more for them because they are a great fitting boot.Beautiful boots. The upper (synthetic) and lower (leather) are slightly different colors. This isn't very noticeable though. However, the point in the middle of the boot where the heel is attached to the sole is very stiff. This causes a large amount of pressure in the middle of the foot, which I've found to be very painful after more than an hour of wearing these boots. This may be due to the fact that the soles are not very sturdy.My son's girlfriend alway's takes a 8 1/2 but these boots ran big... She is adding heavy sock to make the fit betterThese are first boots I purchase and could not be disappointed with the price.
